Support The Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland:

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland (BGCC) inspires and enables children especially those children who come from households who need help the most. These households can be found in public housing in Cleveland with stress levels as high as 10. These stress indicators are generally viewed as predictors of future challenges to children that could result in them becoming involved in the Juvenile Justice System, not graduating from high school, and becoming at high risk for being victimized or victimizers. Children attending BGCC, like Timmy, who is eleven, depend on the club to meet his basic needs for safety, food, clothing, and a future. Timmy lives with his single parent mother who gave birth to Timmy when she was a child herself at the age of 15. Timmy’s mother became overwhelmed with her life struggles reverting to alcohol and drugs to drown her pain!

Timmy looks forward to coming to club every day where he meets with healthy caring adults who are there for him. Timmy is greeted at the door by Ms. Pam welcoming him with a snack. Timmy was showing signs of anger because his mother has been consumed by substance abuse and his Father has abandoned him.  In light of this, Ms Amy has been encouraging Timmy every day concerning his “Great Futures plan” making plans with Timmy based on his needs and interest. Because of the support that Timmy is receiving the risk of him failing has been drastically reduced.

 In addition to trained professional staff and the guidance given to Timmy your help will make valuable evidenced based programs in Education, Health & Life Skills, and Character Develop available causing him to become a productive caring adult. Partnering with BGCC will give you the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping us in changing and saving the lives of children who are often times forgotten in our communities.

Your support of:

·         $25 per month will help cover the cost of supplies and equipment for evidenced based programs.

·         $50 per month will help cover the cost of staffing and occupancy of our club site locations.

·         $100 per month will help cover the cost of food and transportation for one month.

·         $200 per month will help cover the cost of a child to attend any one of our club locations.
